Don’t You Quit

I grabbed my daughter and made her sit,
and read her a poem — ‘Don’t You Quit’.
‘No mama, I can not stand it!’
and she fled far away, gathering her wits.

She visits in a while and takes a look
at me pouring over a poetry book.
‘Mama what are you doing?’ she asks
